Want to know the SECRET to living a life of meaning and getting everything you want?

THERE IS NO SECRET.

I’m a prime example of there being no secret to knowing what you want in life or how it’s all going to work out. I am someone who always went against the grain and didn’t always know what I wanted. When I was told to go left, I would go right (my parents were always thrilled about that!). I had trouble choosing a major in college. But my biggest failure in life was getting married (and divorced) in my early twenties. Despite never identifying as the girl who dreamt of the white picket fence, I found myself in an ill-fated marriage that I knew wouldn’t have a happy ending.

Sure, this all sounds dramatic, but I actually turned out fine. I grew up in a household with two parents who loved me (even during my wild years!) and an older brother who always had my back. Moreover, I had a great group of friends, went to college and started a career in an industry I felt passionate about, and had plenty of fun in my free time. So what was the problem?

The problem was that I felt un-empowered to explore and reach my true goals. Having experienced failure and heartbreak in my marriage, I was scared to challenge myself and go after what I really wanted. But after a few years of feeling bored by my routine and stagnant in my career, I finally had enough. I decided to take charge and change my life.

WHAT’S MY POINT?

My point is that it doesn’t matter what led you to this moment. Your early twenties could have been filled with drama like mine, or you could have had a simpler, more predictable path. Whatever your story, it has gotten you to this point. Something is bothering you, and you don’t feel completely satisfied with where you find yourself today.

If you’re ready to take control and make a change, I hope you won’t wait any longer.

The time could be now.
